Projects like this have stages. Birth. Infancy. Adolescence, and all the way along the life span. The “About Us” for the earliest stages is a short list — an online-oriented Continuing Education Director and an exceptional software developer.
But it takes a village to raise a MOOC and the project soon became a cooperative undertaking. We reached out and found just the Partners we needed, such as The Wright Institute and the San Francisco Psychological Association.
A key event was making the project known to Dr Allen Frances, who immediately saw the potential for engaging many different people and helped us produce some original video material, which, as you can see, is now strategically placed around the MOOC. Now, others are stepping forward to play a role in curating the channels.
We are learning that it doesn’t take tremendous resources to try out new ways of helping people work together to make a difference.
